Bruce Springsteen "Born in the U.S.A." cassette tape

America. Blue jeans. Red bandanas. White t-shirts. Heart. And soul. The Big Man. And Little Steven. Everything that was great and broken about America in the 1980s is here on full display. Bruce was one of the biggest Rock stars in America before this and here he becomes a global icon. For the next few years, Bruce = America. Bombast aside, this is an album packed with amazing, pretty succinct, hit singles. The title track got our attention, but “No Surrender” and “I’m on Fire” may be the two best songs on a jam packed album. Bruce loyalists prefer several others to this one, but it’s still a monumental album that sounds perfect on cassette.
