Counting Crows "August and Everything After" cassette tape

$9.00

One of the most beloved — and divisive — debut albums of the 1990s. Basically, Adam Duritz and crew figured out how to add a dash of Van Morrison and a touch of John Mellencamp to Hootie and The Spin Doctors and the world went crazy. “Mr. Jones” and “Round Here” were inescapable, pretty wonderful, singles. And the rest of the album featured similarly yearning, dying to be soulful, late Gen X catnip. This album sold a zillion copies and is kind of a milestone even today. On the other hand, it was also very confusing to Modern Rock radio listeners who were hoping for more “alternative” in their Alternative Rock. I was probably somewhere in the middle. This is a keeper. Tape in excellent vintage condition.
