His first album without The Attractions in many years, was a major flex. Fifteen songs. Over an hour. Mostly just Elvis and T Bone Burnett. “Veronica,” co-written with Sir Paul McCartney, was a massive hit. The rest of the album is alternately excellent and a little meandering. But Elvis Costello’s failed experiments are still rather noble. Tape on excellent vintage condition.
