The sixth album from Michael, Mike, Bill and Peter was their first for a major label and their second to feature bonafide Pop hits — this time “Stand” and “Orange Crush.” But the deeper cuts — “Pop Song 89,” “Get Up” and especially “Turn You Inside Out” — are where the action is. This is peak, pre-Alternative Rock, when weird was still weird and cred was still credible. Tape in very good vintage condition.
