This one includes “Head On” (later covered by The Pixies) and the essential , “Blues from a Gun.” Fuzzed out vocals and guitar, fake drums and a vibe that is equally spooky and blissful. An album that has grown with time and that feels like early twenties’ angst but with less hangups than The Cure or Joy Division.
