Paul and the boys — minus Bob, plus Chris — are in peak form. “Can’t Hardly Wait,” and “Alex Chilton” are as good as Eighties Rock got. This is peak Mats, in that they never got any better than this. Produced by Memphis legend, Jim Dickinson, it checks every box. Wistful Ballads, Punk Rock, Should Be Hits. This tape is in excellent vintage condition and deserves a good home.
