The Stone Roses "The Stone Roses" cassette tape

$10.00
sold out

Maybe not technically Britpop but this is ground zero for Oasis, Blur and most everything that was great about the later stuff. Ian, Mani, Reni and John sound poppy, danceable, trippy, kind of Punk, but also deliriously happy. About half of these songs are anthems. “I Wanna be Adored,” and “She Bangs the Drums” are flawless. A lot of people (mostly American) thought they were overhyped at the time. They were. But that doesn’t mean this is not awesome. Because this is a fantastic debut and a timeless record meant to be heard on tape. Cassette in very good vintage condition.
