Prime Phil-era Genesis, playing arenas around the world and showcasing a lot of “Abacab” and fan favorites from the late 70s. I truly cannot explain what Genesis’ music sounded like around this time. It’s hard to understand how they were a popular Arena Rock band simply because the songs are not really related to most of the Blues or Rock. But I find myself singing along and wishing I was there with those throngs of Proggy Anglophiles.
