REO was a very good Rock band from Chicago for a long time before Kevin Cronin and team figured out a cheat code for the perfect power ballad. It really starts here with “Keep on Loving You” and “Take it on the Run,” two of the best Pop songs of the early 1980s. You might think they were cheesy or soft, but you’d be wrong.
