This is the album that Petty made with Rick Rubin and with most, but not all, of The Heartbreakers — hence the attribution to “Tom Petty” rather than “Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers.” It’s simpler and more relaxed than most of his work. It takes it’s time. And it’s also a mid-career masterpiece. Includes “You Wreck Me,” “It’s Good to be King” and “You Don’t Know How it Feels.” Pop it in the convertible and drive on some country road if you can.
