Don Henley "Building the Perfect Beast" tape cassette

This is when Henley moved past the Eagles and completely owned Frey. “Boys of Summer” is rightfully a classic, but this also has the weirdly funky “All She Wants to Do is Dance” and “Sunset Grill,” which easily could have been made by his former band. Nobody has ever sung like Don Henley, in that reedy, pitch perfect soprano. And — yes — a lot of people think he’s pompous. His hair on “The End of the Innocence” may have been an unprosecuted crime. But, none of those people can argue with his best songs. I mean, they could try. But, they’d lose. And this tape has a bunch of those great songs. Cassette in very good vintage condition.
